"They say the closer one is to death, the easier it is to see into the spiritual realm."

Well, that's certainly true! Follow protagonist Yu Amamiya (name changeable) as you navigate life after a car crash. After they continually keep seeing things everywhere- the grocery store, the mall, the hospital, they feel like they're going insane!

Help them unravel the mystery of their town, and the Other Side lurking within.

It's rather easy to go in...
but can you make it out?

- A ton of questionable coding by the studio, and buttons that may or may not work
- Three routes to choose from, each with a varying secret ending depending on what you choose (wip)
- Nearly all choices in the game matter (minus the ones in the beginning)

 - The people who inspired me to begin coding @sylvan and @carrotpatchgames
- My math teacher (seriously, thanks for putting up with all my questions)
- Grem for the encouragement
-  Blocket for reminding me to take breaks
- N and T who both inspired characters for this game
- And everyone who decided to play this demo that has the appeal of a burning plane! Couldn't have done anything without ya'll!

Hey there! Congrats on posting the demo once again! Starting a project and getting to release even just the demo takes a lot of effort and courage, so remembering how you've been wanting to make this from a long time ago and finally doing it is great and awesome! You should pat yourself in the back for taking the first step!

The art is cute, the main menu is pretty stylish, and the storyline is pretty interesting! However, there are some things that I feel you could do to make the game better. One is adding some music. You can use royalty free music as a BGM (my usual go to is dova syndrome, but anywhere else is good too). Another one is changing the dialogue font to something more readable (the one you use is okay for headers and menu choice, but it's not as good as a body font as it's too thick and messy. I recommend something a bit simpler like sans serif fonts). And the last thing is the name input. The input is placed on top of the question and it makes it harder to see.

To remedy that, maybe this tutorial might help (it's stylish and unique too!) :

Those are all just recommendations though! Whether you want to heed these or not is up to you since you're the developer and you have the freedom to do whatever you want! I wish you nothing but the best and good luck with the project! :D

Hi! Thank you so much for the encouragement! Honestly,, I don't think I could've started releasing stuff like this if I hadn't seen your work /gen

Secondly, do you think I should add in music to the game itself, or only the home screen? I had a bit of trouble trying to figure that out, haha-- I'll probably change the font to something easy to read but still silly like Comic Sans?
Thanks for the tutorial augh <//3 that's one of the two buttons that I can't seem to get to work for the life of me (the other one being the 'are you sure you want to end?' button) and i also can't seem to get the code to restore the buttons back on the ingame menu and only the home menu.

Thanks so much for your feedback!! I'll be sure to use it ^-^

Glad to help out! It'd be great if you can add music to both the game and the home screen,  but the priority should always be the game itself as that's the part the player spends the most time in (Sweetest Valentine did not have any menu music for the longest time lol). Changing the font to something like comic sans works! I think it fits the vibe of your game.

You can restore the in game menu buttons from this vid:

Hope this helps and best of luck!!

Hi! Thanks so much again for the information! The game menu buttons always give me error messages when I try so I've pretty much given up on that and hope the player can adjust the preferences from the in game menu down at the bottom ;; other than that I fixed everything you told me about!! Thank you so much again!!!
